Meet Our Volunteers
Drum Captain, Drum Instructor, Lassie Alumni
Phyllis Templeton Chapman
Being a Lassie was a great honor, I loved everything about it, particularly the uniform and the drums. I was shy and it totally changed my life. I volunteer to give that experience to the Lassies of today. My most memorable performance was marching down Constitution Avenue in Washington, D.C. in the Cherry Blossom Festival Parade.
Cymbals, Snare, Sergeant of Arms 1972-1974
Robbie Pope
Being in Lassies was a creative outlet for me. Sure, I acquired life skills in group development and cohesiveness as well as leadership and personal accountability. What I really got from being in Lassies was the importance of having fun, free expression and being kind. Why I am volunteering for lassies... Because I want to ensure these young ladies and more young ladies can have this adventure and advantage, too.
We Love Our "Lassie Ladies"
Thank you to all of the Lassie Alumnae who choose to come back to High School to spend your time supporting the current Corps! Each class of girls truly appreciates the dedication, heart, and time that you put into making their time in the Corps a success!
Once a Lassie, Always a Lassie
